Zibusiso Mkhwanazi


Zibusiso Mkhwanazi is a South African digital entrepreneur and the CEO of AVATAR digital agency, a black owned full service digital agency based in Johannesburg.

Mkhwanazi has been in the digital industry from the age of 17 when he first founded an investment company, Csonke Holdings.

Mkhwanazi is also a World Economic Forum Young Global Leader.

Mkhwanazi is one of the youngest CEOs in South Africa and he has several awards and achievements under his belt, including being a finalist for best individual contribution to SA digital marketing in 2011 and IT personality finalist in 2009 and 2010 respectively.

Mkhwanazi is the man known for giving back to the community, which is why he founded Mkhwanazi Academy for Christian Entrepreneurship in Vosloorus, to give back to the community that made him what he is today.

The township is very close to Mkhwanazi’s heart, that is why he is planning to start other mentorship programmes in other townships across South Africa, to give young people opportunities to fulfill their dreams.

Mkhwanazi’s story from the humble streets of Soweto, to running one of the biggest digital agencies in the country, is the one that is bound to motivate every young South African to work hard and make sure that they fulfill their dreams.
