Totsie Memela-Khambula is currently the Chief Executive Officer at Eduloan.
Eduloan is responsible for offering educational loans especially to under privileged children to further their education at the tertiary level.
Previously, Memela-Khambula served for nearly five years as the managing director of Post Bank, which is part of the South African Post Office.
She was responsible for leading the state-owned institution to become a bank of choice for underserved communities in urban and rural South Africa. She is also a director in Memela Pratt Associates (MPA), a woman-owned executive search firm. Prior to joining Post Bank, she was CEO of customer services and retention for FNB home loans division.
Before entering banking and finance, Memela-Khambula served in the office of the former secretary general of the African National Congress (ANC), Cyril Ramaphosa, who was part of the team responsible for drafting the South African constitution.
She began her career with the ANC in 1978 in Swaziland, Botswana and Zimbabwe.
Memela-Khambula is currently a member of the boards of directors of the Rural Housing Loan Fund, Teba Bank Limited and Lekana, a division of First Rand.
She holds a BA in social science from the University of Swaziland and a Master of Public Administration from the University of Zimbabwe.
