Tobi Oke, based in Nigeria, joined Intel Capital in 2013.
Oke has been tasked with building Intel Capital’s local presence, and finding deals for the US based venture capital and private equity investor.
Intel Capital is the investment arm of global technology company, Intel and has approximately $10 billion invested across 51 countries.
Intel Capital believes Africa has become a source of an increasing number of innovative technology companies.
Oke brings over 10 years experience of investing and partnering with investors across various markets across Africa.
Prior to joining Intel, Tobi worked as an Associate Director for Standard Chartered Bank Private Equity, responsible for the execution of transactions across West Africa.
Oke had worked as senior consultant at Booz Allen Hamilton, having joined from Motorola, where he was software engineer and product development manager. Oke was a founding member of the engineering team at Motorola that delivered the first generation of telematics products globally.
Oke worked with HSBC covering the African continent and executed transactions across both East and Southern Africa.
Tobi holds a Masters of Engineering degree in Information Systems Engineering from Imperial College, London and an MBA from the London Business School.
