Proudly South African Buy Local Summit and Expo to open in Sandton


the 8th annual Proudly South African Buy Local Summit & Expo, taking place at the Sandton Convention Centre on 12 & 13 March, the 2-day programme features innovators, business leaders, and government heads in a mix of presentations and panel discussions.

Sasol, SA Breweries, MerSETA and the Franchise Association of SA are amongst panelists discussing support for small business on 12 March 2019.

On the same day, two disruptors who are no strangers to small business but who have ‘gone big’ are founder of the Delicious International Food & Music Festival, Lloyd Cornwall, and the founder of DNA Brand Architects, Sylvester Chauke and both will share thoughts and insights into branding and the psyche of the SA consumer.

In addition, there will be a One Stop Shop to provide onsite assistance to delegates who may have legislative and compliance issues including from SARS, The Tax Ombud, UIF, Department of Labour amongst many other organisations and institutions (for a full list see below).

Highlights of Day 2 themed Localisation through Investment led Re-industrialisation include presentations on leveraging local procurement through your entire supply chain as well as exploring local investment opportunities. 

 The Expo, taking place over both days, features over 200 Proudly South African member companies showcasing  innovative local products and services. Visitors are encouraged to take the opportunity to network and look for new buyers and suppliers from a wide range of business and manufacturing sectors. 

This year, the whole event will go digital and information, room guides, B2B opportunities, exhibitor and speaker information will be downloadable on the WHOVA app. The App is free to download and will be fully interactive before and during the event.
