For Women’s Month, the workshop will reveal inspiring insights from two leading women in businesses.
The Celebrating Women in Business workshop will be an interactive session with guest speakers Hellen El Haimer and Nene Molefi, both of whom will be sharing their entrepreneurial journeys.
The workshop will look at balancing business and life while providing effective leadership in a male-dominated industry. The discussion will also explore how women can best work together in business for mutual gain, as well as the perceptions of businesswomen and how to change them.
Men are also invited to join the session, as it will also give tips for businessmen to have great working relationships with the businesswomen in their sphere. Practical insights and a question and answer session to help you implement the tips in your particular situation will be available.
El Haimer is an admitted attorney with over 15 years of post-qualification in the legal, properties and facilities management fields, she brings a wealth of knowledge to the session – having held senior positions at the Department of Public Works and SARS. She was also responsible for the facilities and property management of ABSA’s national property portfolio and worked as a legal manager at Standard Bank. She is now the Managing Director of FM Institute Propriety Limited and an Independent Non-Executive Director at Attacq.
Molefi’s interest in the field of Change and Transformation began when she worked at Eskom for a decade. She sits on the advisory board of the Auditor General of South Africa, and is a guest speaker and associate lecturer for the Gordon Institute for Business Science (GIBS) and Thabo Mbeki African Leadership Institution (TMALI).
