Mohamed Bennani has been the Bank Of Africa Group Chief Executive Officer since January 2011.
Bennani served as a Delegate General Manager of Banque Marocaine du Commerce Exterieur SA.
In 1997, he took over the International Bank where he served as General Manager since 1998. From 1993 to 1997, Bennani served as General Manager of BMCE Internacional Madrid.
In 1989, he was seconded to Banque de Developpement du Mali, where he served until 1992, to restructure it with the support of international financial institutions – the World Bank, IMF, Caisse franaise de Developpement and the African Development Bank, from 1976 to 1988.
Bennani was in charge of international activities and export financing in the Middle East region and in France, in BMCE’s International Department.
As from 1974 to 1976, Bennani was responsible for the Bank’s Beirut Representative Office.
Bennani has been a Director at Bank of Africa-Benin since January 2011.
Bennani serves as the Chairman and a Director of BOA Group SA.
Bennani serves as a Director at Banque Marocaine du Commerce Exterieur SA,Bank of Africa – Cote D’Ivoire, Bank Of Africa – Kenya Limited and Bank Of Africa – Madagascar.
Bennani was awarded the title of Chevalier de l’Ordre National of Mali.
Bennani holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Mohammed V University in Casablanca.
