Ingenico Group to upgrade POS fleet in Mozambique


Ingenico Group, the global seamless payment company, on 10 November 2015, announced that Millennium Bim, the largest bank in Mozambique, has partnered with them in order to replace its current fleet of point-of-sales machines.

Millennium Bim selected Ingenico Group’s smart terminals for their flexibility, innovative capabilities, and compliance with the highest security standards. Beyond a banking application, the mid-term objective is to enhance the end customers’ experience by offering extra value-added services.

“Mozambique is a very competitive banking market and we need to continuously improve our technological infrastructure in order to guarantee the best service level to our clients. We are also committed to be closer to the population by bringing them banking and financial services,” comments Francisco Leite, Millennium Bim POS Unit Head of the Commercial Team.

The deployment of Ingenico Group’s smart terminals has started in all its branches across the country.

About 3 000 wireless and countertop terminals have been custom branded, with a new magenta facing, to strengthen Millenium Bim’s brand recognition and present a unified and enhanced customer experience.
