fastjet appoints new distribution and IT systems manager

fastjet has appointed Angelique Claassen as Manager of Distribution and IT Systems for the airline’s core markets across Africa.

Claasen will be based at fastjet’s headquarters in Johannesburg, and will lead a dedicated team in streamlining the airline’s channel booking and payment processes and systems, with particular focus on IT components.

She will also manage channel distribution for the fastjet’s key markets of Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Zambia and South Africa to ensure that the airline continues to provide the most efficient and innovative solutions for customers.

“It’s a challenging role, but I’m excited to get to work and start implementing new ideas that I’m confident will make a positive impact on customer perceptions of fastjet,” says Claassen.

“I have a great team to work with and I’m looking forward contributing to the airline’s growth.”

Claassen gained a wealth of experience as Channel Manager at South African Airways subsidiary, Mango, where she contributed to the successful implementation of the Voyager Miles, Edcon, mobile app and payment solutions on the airline’s booking platform.

“We are confident that Angelique’s appointment will support the growth of fastjet across key African markets, and strengthen our ability to deliver an efficient and pleasurable customer experience,” says Nico Bezuidenhout,  fastjet Chief Executive Officer.
