Bruce Whitfield, born in Free State Province, South Africa, presents The Money Show with on South Africa’s Talk Radio 702 and 567 Cape Talk.
Whitfield is regarded as one of South Africa’s leading financial journalists and was named Financial Journalist of the Year in the 32nd Sanlam Financial Journalist of the Year awards.
Whitfield’s work in radio, television and print has also been recognized by financial services group Citadel and global banking group Citibank which named Whitfield its South African financial journalist of the year.
Whitfield’s award saw him attend a two-week intensive financial journalism course at the prestigious Columbia University in New York with other country winners from around the globe.
Whitfield began his journalism career at Talk Radio 702 in the run up to the 1994 democratic elections.
Later on he worked in London at Reuters and independent radio stations for four years before returning to South Africa where he developed a taste for business and financial journalism.
Whitfield covers banking and insurance for weekly business magazine Finweek, writes an investment column for Best Life and presents a range of investment focused programmes on Summit TV.
