Black Business Council mourns the death of Dr Thandi Ndlovu

The Black Business Council (BBC) is shocked, saddened and left in disbelief by the untimely passing of our senior leader and stalwart, Dr Thandi Ndlovu, Dr T, as she was affectionately known.

Dr Ndlovu passed on 24 August 2019, after she succumbed to injuries suffered in a head-on-collision earlier on Saturday on her way to a funeral in Rustenburg.

Dr Thandi Ndlovu, founded Motheo Construction Group in 1997 and served as its Executive Chairman. Dr Ndlovu was also extensively involved in the building construction industry, particularly in the low-cost housing sector, through the Motheo group of companies. She also served as a Non-Executive Director of various listed and unlisted companies in South Africa.

“She went from being a medical doctor to conquering the male-dominated construction and built environment sector seamlessly. Dr T was a patriot, trailblazer, business leader who was adored, revered and celebrated beyond our shores” said Sandile Zungu, BBC President.

The BBC is particularly saddened as we have lost a selfless leader, who put the interest of others before hers.

“As BBC, we send our humblest condolences to her family, our affiliate member the Black Business Council in the Built Environment, the entire business fraternity, political colleagues and the people of South Africa at large” concluded Zungu.

May her beautifully soul rest in Power and Perfect Peace.
