Tshepo Matseba, The Official NEPAD Yearbook Editor in Chief and The Afropolitan Business Editor

Tshepo Matseba is the Head of Brand and Reputation at a South African based financial services institution.

He is the former Corporate Reputation Strategist at M&C Saatchi Abel. 

Matseba is the former President of the Public Relations Institute of Southern Africa (PRISA). He holds a number of roles including MD at Reputation 1st, a boutique strategic communication and reputation management consultancy.

In addition, he is the Business Editor of The Afropolitan magazine and Editor in Chief of The Official NEPAD Yearbook.

He was the Head of Marketing and Communication at Liberty Corporate.

Prior to this, he was the Head of Marketing and Communication for Sales and Distribution at Discovery, where he focussed on strategic marketing planning, execution, experiential marketing, leveraging sponsorships, media relations, brand management, and digital communication.

Matseba has over 16 years expertise across marketing communications, he served in a range of industries including higher education, financial services, telecommunications, and information communication technology (ICT) in Africa and the Middle East for a number of brands including Discovery, Huawei, Momentum, MTN and UNISA’s Graduate School of Business Leadership.

He holds the APR (Accredited in Public Relations) status, which is internationally recognised in the United States, Canada, New Zealand and Australia through by the Global Alliance of Public Relations and Communication Management Associations (GA). He is also accredited as MCIPR (Member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations), UK.

Matseba is the chairman of the judging panel for the South African Brand Summit and Awards.
