Momar Nguer

Momar Nguer has been President of Marketing and Services at TOTAL since April 2016 and serves as its President of New Energies.

Nguer served as Senior Vice President of Africa, Middle East for Total Supply and Marketing at TOTAL from December 2011 to April 2016 and its Chairman of the Group Diversity Council since August 2015.

Nguer served as Vice President of Aviation Fuel at TOTAL since March 2007.

He has extensive experience in African markets, in particular with regard to distribution network management.

He served as the Chief Executive Officer of Total Kenya until 2000 when he served as Executive Vice President of Total East Africa and Indian Ocean.

He began his career in 1982 with Hewlett Packard’s Finance Department.

Nguer joined Total Africa in 1984 and served as the General Manager of Sales and Marketing at Total Senegal from 1985 to 1991 and served as Vice President of Retail Network and Consumers for Total Africa with his office based in Paris.

He served as Chief Executive Officer of Total Cameroun, then Chief Executive Officer Total Kenya and Executive Vice President for Total East Africa and Indian Ocean since 2000.

He served as Senior Vice President of Africa/Middle East at Total Kenya.

He served as the Chairman of TOTAL Nigeria Plc since December 2012 until 2016 and served as its Director since August 2012 until 2016.

Nguer serves as a Director of Total Sénégal.

He serves as Director at Total Côte d’Ivoire S.A. He has been a Member of Supervisory Board at CFAO SA since June 2016.

He has been a Non-Executive Director of Total Kenya Limited since August 2012.

He holds a Masters Degree in Law from ESSEC Business School based in Paris, France.

During his tenure at Double Digit Media, he was he focused on application and web site development for new and existing clients Mphahlele contributes as a Content Manager for BizNis Africa.
