Siba Mtongana is a South African celebrity chef popular for hosting the DSTV Food Network show Siba’s Table.
Siba’s Table television show debuted in September 2013, is watched in over 128 countries, in about 60 million US homes on The Cooking Channel and is now topping the charts in various countries including Poland and Russia.
Mtongana grew up in Mdantsane, East London, South Africa.
Mtongana studied Food and Consumer Sciences at Cape Technikon before being appointed as the food editor at Drum magazine where she was given a show, Cooking with Siba, on MNet Mzansi Magic television channel.
South African Celebrity Chef, Jenny Morris, also known as the Giggling Gourmet, recommended Mtongana and the UK Food Network noticed her unique cooking skills.

After a numerous discussions and after interviewing 400 other candidates, Mtongana became the second South African after Morris to host her own cooking show on the network.
Mtongana’s forte is serving dishes with an African flavour and inventing unique dishes including pappizza, a pizza with a pap base and mfino fritters. Mfino is a traditional dish made with spinach and maize meal.
Mtongana has been a judge on Chopped South Africa together with Jenny Morris and David van Staden.
