Khudusela Pitje is the New GX Founder and Chief Executive Officer.
Pitje, born into an entrepreneurial family and guided at an early age by his late father HM Pitje, Khudu started his entrepreneurship with a makeshift hair salon in Grahamstown whilst in high school at age seventeen.
After achieving a B aggregate but unable to secure a bursary he started working for Lindsay Saker in 1994 whilst studying part time for his BCompt and completed his CTA in 1994 whilst working for McDonalds head office.
He left PwC as a qualified chartered accountant and an audit manager to join JPMorgan Investment bank in South Africa and London focusing on telecoms, energy and public sector.
In 2005 he was part of a team that brought AlanDick Group into the South African market as a provider of network optimisation and in building solutions provider within the telecommunication sector and also successfully negotiated acquisition by Coal of Africa Limited of a minority equity interest in an early stage mining project.
Pitje is a finalist in EY entrepreneur awards in 2009 under theEmerging Category, one of the founding partners at DFA, a strategic thinker involved in a number of successful start up initiatives and strategic acquisitions at CIVH and New GX.
Pitje sits on a number of boards linked to New GX group of companies.
