Kaakpema Yelpaala, Founder and Chief Executive Officer for access.mobile International.

Yelpaala is an entrepreneur with a deep understanding of international health systems and over 15 years of experience working in Africa and emerging markets.

Yelpaala is a driven and inspiring manager who founded access.mobile in 2011 and spearheads the company’s product and global market growth. Prior to starting the company, he worked with Dalberg Global Development Advisors, and served as one of the first employees of the Clinton Health Access Initiative in East Africa.

He has taught at the University of Denver’s Josef Korbel School of International Studies and was appointed to the Governor of Colorado’s Small Business Council in 2014.

Yelpaala has a MPH from the Yale School of Public Health and a BA with honors from Brown University.

Thabo Mphahlele is the BizNis Africa Head of Sales and Marketing. Mphahlele was previously MultiChoice Production Support Analyst responsible for developing and monitoring applications. In addition, Mphahlele develops and automates batch scripts and is responsible for the daily infrastructure maintenance at MultiChoice. Mphahlele is responsible for creating infrastructure performance reports through HP Ops Analytics, monitoring payments via Splunk and in-house built-in tool and disaster recovery simulation and testing. At Nashua Mobile, he was responsible for application development and enhancing the web sites At South West Gauteng College, he was the IT Technician and Network Administrator. During his tenure at Double Digit Media, he was he focused on application and web site development for new and existing clients Mphahlele contributes as a Content Manager for BizNis Africa.
