Dr Enos Ned Banda is the Founder of Freetel Capital (Pty) Limited and serves as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

He served as the Chief Executive Officer of African Phoenix Investments Limited since December 2016 until November 2017.

He served as the Head of the Funds Management at Gauteng Fund at Freetel Fund Management (Pty) Ltd.

He served as an Advisor at SPEAR Capital (Pty) Ltd.

He served as Country Head for Credit Suisse First Boston.

Dr Banda served as the Chief Executive Officer of Eskom Enterprises (Pty) Limited at Eskom Holdings SOC Limited.

He served as Head of sub-Saharan Africa for HSBC Corporate and Investment Bank.

Dr Banda has been Group Chair of Letshego Holdings Limited since November 01, 2016.

He serves as the Chairman at Super Group Holdings (Pty) Ltd.

He served as the Executive Chairman of African Phoenix Investments Limited from October 2016 to December 2016 and served as its Executive Director since September 2016 until November 2017 and previously as its Independent Non-Executive Director from September 2016 to October 2016.

Dr Banda served as the Chairman of the National Electricity Regulator and Chairman of the Municipal Infrastructure Investment Unit of the SA Government.

He served as the Chairman of Tsogo Sun Holdings Limited from July 2009 to February 2011 and Gold Reef Resorts Limited from July 2009 to February 2011.

Dr Banda has been Non Executive Director of African Phoenix Investments Limited since November 2017.

Dr Banda has been an Independent and Non-Executive Director at MiX Telematics Limited since May 2013 and MiX Telematics International (Pty) Ltd since May 2012.

He is a Member of the board of Norilisk Nickel MMC. He has been a Non-Executive Director at MiX Telematics Europe Limited since May 2013.

He served as a Director of Norilsk Nickel Mining and Metallurgical Co, now Public Joint Stock Company Mining and Metallurgical Company Norilsk Nickel from June 2011 to June 2013.

He served as an Independent Non-Executive Director at Tsogo Sun Holdings Limited from March 2009 to February 2011 and Gold Reef Resorts Limited.

Dr Banda served as an Independent Non- Executive Director of Allied Technologies Ltd from February 2006 to March 2008 and Super Group Limited since July 2011.

He serves as a Co-Chairman at South African Chamber of Commerce in America. He serves on the US Board of the South Africa Washington International Program.

Dr Banda is a Senior Associate and occasional faculty member of the University of Cambridge Programme on Sustainability Leadership.

He has advised the South African government in mining, privatization of Telkom, infrastructure project finance and major cross border projects.

Dr Banda has practiced Law in both the United States and in South Africa.

Dr Banda is admitted as an Attorney and Counsellor-at-Law in the State of New York.

He has developed policies in ICT and drafted national laws in telecommunications and municipal finance and BEE.

He is professional with specialization in cross border M&A transactions, international project finance and the law of treaties.

His professional and corporate experience covers Asia, Africa, Europe and North America, with specializations and expertise in international law and global investment banking.

He is a South African Entrepreneur and Investment Banker who provides Mergers and Acquisition advice and engages in proprietary investments.

He has advised some of the seminal transactions in South Africa, including the first Johnnic BEE transaction and project financing of the first toll road to Maputo.

He is an advocate of the Supreme Court of South Africa.

Dr Banda holds a BA (Hon) Financial Accounting, a Doctor of jurisprudence and a Post Graduate Master of laws from universities in the United States of America.
